Hawick; a house in the Borders that acknowledges the work of architect Peter Womersley (1923–1993). With a passion for the visual arts the client’s ongoing collection was central to the need to design a house for artworks but also a potential private gallery for occasional exhibitions. The overlapping rectangular forms of the house finished entirely of timber cladding presents a solid impenetrable exterior whilst concealing a more open interior of interconnected spaces.
