dunblane

Dunblane; a family house that clearly expresses the principal functions of public and private; the single storey element of living, kitchen and dining is intersected by the two storey study and bedroom accommodation. The choice of external materials was also used to express this clear division between the programme demands and architectural form to achieve a clear and concise design outcome; the single storey appears  as a stone wall with the two storey element of timber cladding and profiled sheeting breaching, in part, the wall to emphasise the entrance.
