Welcome to our consultation on the proposed estate masterplan development at Murrayshall Country House Hotel and Golf Club.

The purpose of this consultation is to present the emerging vision for a proposed estate masterplan development; a strategic planning approach to the current and future development of Murrayshall Country House Hotel and Golf Club. The aim of the proposal is to ensure, through an ongoing capital investment programme, the long term sustainable future of the Estate and its positive impact on local tourism and the local economy, including employment and businesses.

This webpage is part of pre-application consultation before a planning application is submitted to Perth and Kinross Council in the coming months. This consultation would normally be in the form of a public exhibition in a local venue.  Unfortunately, due to Covid-19 restrictions this public event is not possible, and an online solution has been provided to replace it. This is in keeping with recent legislation and guidance from the Scottish Government.

We have set out the background to the proposals below or a copy of the boards in pdf format can be downloaded here. These identify our vision for the site and how the emerging proposals have been developed.

We are inviting the local community and other stakeholders to review our emerging proposals before a planning application is submitted to Perth and Kinross Council. We would very much welcome your feedback and comments.

To assist, we have prepared a short feedback form to gather the views of those participating in the consultation. Your feedback will help to inform our eventual planning application submission to Perth and Kinross Council. Please download the form, complete with any feedback comments, and then send to or printout and post to Fergus Purdie Architects, 5A Melville Street, Perth, PH1 5PY.

In addition, a live consultation event will take place on Friday 18th of December between 2pm-7pm. During this time the project team will be available to discuss the project proposals with interested parties via telephone, email and pre-booked one-on-one zoom meeting slots (Please contact out practice to arrange).

Following this event, any additional comments or questions can be sent via email or by contacting us directly via phone, and we will seek to respond as quickly as possible to any questions raised (within 10 days). Thereafter, this website will be available to view for a period up until the 12th of January.
